What is Topical authority?
Topical authority is the informal SEO idea that a site which covers a subject thoroughly, across many connected pages, earns more trust on that subject than a site with one page about it. It is not a single score Google publishes. It describes a pattern: when your site answers the main question and the twenty follow-up questions around it, links those answers together sensibly and keeps them accurate, new pages on the same subject tend to rank faster. The practical meaning is to go deep on the few topics you sell rather than shallow across everything.
What does Topical authority mean for a business in Pakistan?
A Pakistani business blog often wanders: a post on Eid greetings, a post on cricket, a post on the budget. None of it builds authority in what the business actually sells. A Rawalpindi solar installer that writes twenty careful pages on net metering, inverters and panel sizing for local homes is building topical authority in the one subject its buyers search.
A worked example
An Islamabad immigration consultant writes one hub page on the UK student visa, then twelve supporting pages: financial evidence, CAS letters, IELTS waivers, dependants, refusals and so on. Each links back to the hub and to its neighbours. A thirteenth page, on the graduate route, starts ranking within weeks because it lands inside a cluster Google already trusts.
