What is Entity?
In search, an entity is a distinct, identifiable thing, such as a person, a business, a place, a product or a concept, that a search engine understands as itself rather than as a string of words. Google and AI models store facts about entities and the relationships between them: this clinic is in this sector, this doctor works there, this brand makes this product. Entity SEO means making your business easy to recognise as one consistent thing everywhere it appears, with the same name, address, founder, logo and links, so machines can join the dots instead of guessing.
What does Entity mean for a business in Pakistan?
Pakistani businesses often appear under several spellings: Al-Noor, Al Noor and Alnoor, or with the sector written differently on every listing. To a person these are obviously the same shop. To a machine they may be three businesses. Picking one form and using it everywhere, from the signboard to the Facebook page, is the first piece of entity work.
A worked example
An Islamabad architecture studio lists itself on its website, Google Business Profile, LinkedIn, Facebook and two Pakistani directories. It standardises the name to one spelling, uses the same address and phone everywhere, adds Organization schema with sameAs links to each profile, and names the founder consistently. AI assistants asked about the studio now describe it with the right founder and location.
