What is Sponsored post?

A sponsored post is content published on somebody else's account, which you paid for. It differs from your own ad in two ways that matter. It borrows their credibility, since it arrives as a recommendation from someone the viewer already follows, and it lives on their profile rather than yours. Three things belong in every deal: a disclosure, using the platform's paid partnership label, since undisclosed advertising breaks platform rules and burns audience trust; a clear list of deliverables and dates; and usage rights, meaning written permission to run the post as an ad from your own account afterwards.

What does Sponsored post mean for a business in Pakistan?

Verify before you pay. Ask for a screen recording of the last thirty days of insights rather than screenshots, which are trivial to fake, and check whether the comments come from real accounts in your city. Then buy the ad rights. Without them you have rented one day of somebody's reach; with them you have bought a piece of creative you can run for months.

A worked example

A Rawalpindi burger spot pays a local food page PKR 25,000 for one Reel and three stories. The Reel reaches 143,000 accounts, the stories drive 1,900 profile taps, and weekend covers rise from 210 to 340. The spot then pays another PKR 10,000 for ad rights and runs the same Reel as its own ad for a month.

These come up in the same conversations and are worth reading together.

Would you rather someone just handled this?

Understanding the terms is useful. Doing the work every day is the hard part — and that is what we do, from PKR 15,000 a month.
