What is Influencer marketing?
Influencer marketing is working with people who already hold an audience so that your product appears inside content those followers trust. Creators are usually sorted by size — nano at a few thousand followers, micro in the tens of thousands, macro above that — and bigger is not better, it is only broader. What decides the result is overlap: how much of that audience could actually buy from you. Measurement is the part most businesses skip, and it is solvable with a code word, a dedicated link or a phone number used nowhere else, agreed before the money moves.
What does Influencer marketing mean for a business in Pakistan?
The twin cities have a deep bench of small creators — food reviewers, car pages, gadget testers, and student accounts around NUST, FAST, Comsats and Bahria University. For a local shop, a nano creator with nine thousand genuinely Islamabad-based followers will usually outsell a national account with hundreds of thousands, because a viewer in Multan cannot come to your counter no matter how much they liked the video.
A worked example
An F-10 café briefs four Islamabad micro creators between 8k and 30k followers at PKR 8,000 each — PKR 32,000 total — each giving out a code word for a free drink. Seventy-one people use the code within three weeks. A 380k national creator quoted PKR 90,000 for one Reel; the café declined.
