What is Rich results?
Rich results are Google search listings that show more than the usual title, address and description: star ratings, prices and stock, recipe times, event dates, breadcrumbs, video thumbnails and similar extras. They are mostly driven by structured data on the page, but adding markup only makes a page eligible; Google decides whether to show them. Google has narrowed some types over time, for example limiting FAQ rich results to well-known authoritative sites and dropping HowTo results. The Rich Results Test and Search Console's enhancement reports show whether markup is valid and which types are in use.
What does Rich results mean for a business in Pakistan?
For Pakistani online shops, product rich results showing the price in rupees and in-stock status are the ones most worth having, since price is often the first thing buyers here look for. Star ratings for a business's own services are no longer shown for self-written reviews about the business itself, a rule many local SEO sellers still ignore.
A worked example
A Faisalabad bedsheet seller adds Product schema with price in PKR, availability and the brand name to its 80 product pages. The Rich Results Test passes them. Over the following weeks, some of its listings in Google start showing the price and In stock beneath the title, which competing listings without markup do not.
