What is Playlist?
A playlist is an ordered set of videos that plays one after another without the viewer choosing again. Playlists do three jobs at once. They raise watch time per visitor, because autoplay inside a playlist continues automatically. They give YouTube a strong topical signal, since a set of videos grouped under one title tells the system what they are collectively about. And they rank in search themselves, so a well-titled playlist can appear in results as its own entry. Playlists also have descriptions, which most creators leave empty even though YouTube reads them. Order matters more than people think — put your strongest video first, not your oldest.
What does Playlist mean for a business in Pakistan?
Pakistani channels usually have the raw material for good playlists and never build them: forty scattered videos that would make four clean series. A property channel with tours grouped by Bahria Town, DHA, Gulberg Greens and Ghauri Town gives a plot buyer an obvious path to keep watching. It also lets you send one WhatsApp link to a client instead of five.
A worked example
An Islamabad wedding photographer sorts 38 videos into 5 playlists. The 'Full wedding films — Islamabad' playlist alone pulls 9,700 views a month with an average of 2.4 videos watched per session, up from 1.1 before.
