What is End screen?
An end screen is the clickable panel YouTube lets you place over the last five to twenty seconds of a video. You can put up to four elements on it: another video, a playlist, a subscribe button, or an approved link. It only works on videos longer than twenty-five seconds and it needs actual space in the frame, so the footage underneath has to be shot or edited with room for it. The point of an end screen is to give the viewer somewhere to go before YouTube decides for them, which keeps a viewer on your channel rather than handing them to whatever autoplays next.
What does End screen mean for a business in Pakistan?
Almost every Pakistani channel we audit either has no end screens at all or has them pointing at a two-year-old video that no longer matches. Set the element to 'best for viewer' so YouTube picks, and always include the specific follow-up video for topic series — visa files, property tours, exam prep — because that audience genuinely wants part two and will look for it.
A worked example
A Rawalpindi driving-school channel adds end screens across 24 videos, each pointing at the next lesson. Clicks from end screens go from 0 to about 1,150 a month, and average session time per viewer rises from 4 minutes 40 seconds to 8 minutes 05 seconds.
