NAP stands for Name, Address, Phone, and consistency means writing all three identically everywhere your business appears online. Search engines match listings by comparing these strings, so Shop 4, Ground Floor on one site and Shop No. 04, G/F on another can read as two different businesses, splitting the trust that should have accumulated to one. The rule is to pick one exact format — including punctuation, floor numbers, abbreviations and phone formatting — write it down somewhere, and use that identical version on the website, the Business Profile, Facebook, every directory and every invoice.
