What is Knowledge panel?
A knowledge panel is the information box Google shows beside the results on desktop, or near the top on a phone, when someone searches the name of a well-known person, organisation, place or brand. It pulls facts from the Knowledge Graph: a short description, a logo or photo, founding date, social profiles, related people. It is different from a Google Business Profile, which covers local businesses with an address and is edited by the owner. A person or organisation with a knowledge panel can claim it through Google and suggest corrections, but cannot write it directly.
