What is Ad set?
An ad set is the middle layer of a Meta campaign, sitting between the campaign and the individual ads. The campaign holds the goal, the ads hold the videos and captions, and the ad set holds everything else: who sees it, where they are, which placements are used, when it runs, how much it may spend, and which event delivery is optimised towards. It is also the unit that learns. Each ad set needs a steady flow of results — roughly fifty in a week is the usual guide — before delivery settles and costs stabilise. Split your money across too many ad sets and none of them ever gets there.
What does Ad set mean for a business in Pakistan?
Local audiences are small enough that one or two ad sets is usually the right structure. A radius around Saddar or F-11 might hold a few hundred thousand eligible people, so building six audience segments on top of that is slicing an already thin pie. Consolidate first, then split only when a single ad set is consistently producing more than fifty results a week.
A worked example
A Saddar tyre shop starts with five ad sets at PKR 400 a day each. None exits the learning phase, and cost per chat sits at PKR 520. Collapsing everything into one ad set at PKR 2,000 a day produces over sixty results a week, and cost per chat falls to PKR 240 on identical creative.

Understanding the terms is useful. Doing the work every day is the hard part — and that is what we do, from PKR 15,000 a month.
