What is Budget?
A budget is the instruction you give the platform about how much it may spend and how fast. There are two kinds. A daily budget is an average per day, and the system is allowed to go over on a strong day and under on a weak one, balancing out over roughly a week. A lifetime budget is a fixed total for a fixed date range, which the system paces itself. You can set the budget at campaign level, letting the system move money to whichever audience is performing, or at ad-set level, which keeps each audience funded whether it deserves it or not. Budget is a limit; ad spend is what actually leaves your account.
What does Budget mean for a business in Pakistan?
Minimum daily budgets in rupees are low enough that a small shop can genuinely start at PKR 500 a day. The mistake we see most in the twin cities is splitting that PKR 500 across four ad sets, so nothing gets enough data to learn from. Also plan for seasonal spikes: wedding season and the last ten days of Ramadan need a bigger number for the same result.
A worked example
A Satellite Town bakery sets a daily budget of PKR 700 on a single ad set for 30 days — about PKR 21,000 for the month. Meta spends PKR 890 on a busy Saturday and PKR 560 on the following Tuesday. That is normal pacing: across each seven-day stretch it lands near PKR 4,900.
