Why is my YouTube video not showing up in search?

Rule out the mechanical causes before rewriting anything. In YouTube Studio, open the video and confirm the visibility is Public, not Unlisted or Scheduled. Check whether it carries an age restriction or a copyright claim that blocks it in some countries, and whether it has finished processing. A brand-new video can also take a little while to appear for its exact title. Searching your own title while logged in is not a reliable test, because results are personalised; use a private window or ask someone else.

If the settings are fine, the cause is usually the words. Creators often title videos the way they think about them, not the way viewers search. "My Hunza trip vlog part 3" describes the video but matches almost no searches, while "Hunza in October: weather, roads and hotel prices" matches several. Type the start of your topic into YouTube and see whether your phrasing appears in autocomplete. If it does not, nobody is looking for it in those words.

The third cause is competition. For a broad search like "how to earn money online", YouTube already has enormous, well-watched videos, and a small channel will not displace them quickly, if ever. Narrow the topic until you can be the best answer: a specific city, a specific tool, a specific problem. Finally, look at Studio's reach tab. If the video gets search impressions but few clicks, the title or thumbnail is the issue; if it gets no search impressions at all, YouTube does not yet consider it relevant.
