Answered · How to
Why do my Reels get no views?
Almost always the first two seconds. A Reel stuck under 200 views was shown to a small test group who swiped away immediately, so Instagram stopped. Check the retention graph: if it falls off a cliff before three seconds, your opening frame is the problem, not the algorithm and not your follower count.
Meri Reels par views kyun nahi aate?
The longer answer
Open the Reel, tap the insights, and look at the retention curve rather than the view number. A curve that starts high and slopes gently means the content is fine and the reach is just small — post more and it will find people. A curve that drops almost vertically in the first second means the opening frame told viewers nothing, and no amount of tagging or posting time will rescue it. Everything below follows from which of those two shapes you are looking at.
The technical causes are boring and extremely common. A TikTok watermark on the file, because it was downloaded rather than exported. Text placed in the bottom third where Instagram covers it with the caption and the profile row. A first frame that is the ceiling of a salon in Chaklala Scheme 3 while the person walks into shot. No captions burned in, on a platform where most people in Pakistan scroll with the sound off in a shared room. Trending audio picked for being trending, attached to footage that does not match its rhythm, so the clip feels wrong within a second.
Then there is what the opening actually says. Reels that work here start mid-sentence with something specific and local: a price, a mistake, a named area. Bridal makeup for PKR 25,000 in Rawalpindi outperforms a slow logo animation every single time, and it costs nothing to change. If you cannot say the thing your video is about in the first two seconds, the video is about too many things.
Timing matters less than people think but is not nothing. On twin-city accounts the vertical video window that consistently performs is the late evening, roughly 9pm to 11pm PKT, when people are home and free. Posting at 3am because a global blog said so puts your test audience in another hemisphere. And if you post during a long load-shedding block in your own area, your most likely early viewers are not looking at their phones.
