Does buying followers hurt your account?

The mechanism is simple arithmetic. Reach is decided by how the people shown your post behave, and a purchased follower behaves like a rock. Buy 5,000 of them onto a page with 1,200 real followers and every future post is measured against a denominator four times larger with no extra engagement in the numerator. Your engagement rate falls by roughly the same factor overnight, and the system reads that as your content getting worse. Nothing you post afterwards is judged fairly until the ratio recovers.

The purchases also do not stick. Panels sell accounts that get deleted in waves, so the number you paid for drains over the following weeks and you are left with a page that looks like it is bleeding followers — which is its own bad signal. A gym near Committee Chowk came to us with 41,000 followers and posts getting 70 likes. Every brand that had looked at them for a sponsorship had walked away, because 0.17 percent engagement is visible to anyone who checks, and in Pakistan brand managers absolutely check.

Repairing it is slower than building from zero. You cannot remove bought followers in bulk, so the only routes are removing them by hand a few hundred at a time, or publishing enough genuinely engaged content to swamp them, which takes months. Several clients have concluded it was cheaper to start a second, clean account. That is the real price of a PKR 1,000 order.

The same applies to view and subscriber packages, and to comment pods. If a service promises numbers rather than work, the numbers are the product and the account is the cost. We say no to this on principle and also because it makes our own job impossible — you cannot read analytics that are half fictional, and every report we send is screenshotted from your own dashboard.
