What is Thin content?
Thin content is a page that gives a visitor little or nothing of value: a few lines of filler, copied manufacturer text, an auto-generated page with a place name swapped in, or a doorway page built only to catch a search and send people elsewhere. Google's systems are designed to rank such pages low, and when a site has many of them, the whole site can be judged less helpful. Length is not the test. A short page that fully answers a narrow question is fine; a long page that says nothing specific is still thin.
What does Thin content mean for a business in Pakistan?
The common Pakistani version is one service page copied fifty times with only the sector name changed: plumber in F-6, plumber in F-7, plumber in F-8, identical otherwise. It looks like local SEO and works for a while, then sinks. Fewer pages, each with something genuinely specific to that area, hold up far better.
A worked example
A Rawalpindi AC repair company has 35 area pages, each 120 words, identical except the area name. It replaces them with seven pages for areas it actually covers often, each listing real response times, the common AC brands in those housing schemes and directions from its workshop. Seven useful pages replace 35 that Google had already mostly ignored.
