What is Store voucher?
A store voucher is a discount a seller creates and funds on a marketplace, as opposed to a platform voucher funded by the marketplace itself. Vouchers can take a fixed amount or a percentage off, apply above a minimum spend, be limited to certain products, and be shown publicly on the store and product pages or shared only as a code. They are used to raise average order value, nudge a first purchase, reward followers of the store, or clear slow stock. Because the seller pays for them, the arithmetic matters: a voucher should be set so that the order still makes money after the discount, commission and shipping.
What does Store voucher mean for a business in Pakistan?
Daraz shoppers often look for 'collect voucher' buttons before buying, and a visible store voucher can tip a close comparison between two similar listings. Minimum-spend vouchers suit Pakistani buyers' habit of combining items to get free or cheaper delivery.
A worked example
Suppose a skincare seller's average order is PKR 1,400. She creates a store voucher of PKR 150 off orders above PKR 2,000. Shoppers add a second item to qualify, the average order rises, and the discount costs less than the extra margin earned on the added product.
