What is Share?
A share is when a viewer sends your post to someone else — into a DM, a group, a story, or out to another app entirely. It is the most valuable action in the whole list because it does two jobs at once: it tells the platform the content was worth a personal recommendation, and it delivers your content to a new person with a friend's endorsement attached. Shares are also the action most likely to start a chain, since the person receiving it may share it again. Content gets shared for a reason, not by luck: it is useful, it is funny, it settles an argument, or it says something the sharer wanted to say.
What does Share mean for a business in Pakistan?
In Pakistan the share that matters most is off-platform, into WhatsApp family and work groups, and platforms count that as an external share without showing you where it went. This is why a post about school admission dates or a petrol price change can quietly outperform a professionally shot Reel. Anything a person would forward to their sister or their landlord will travel here.
A worked example
A Rawalpindi property page posts one image comparing DHA and Bahria transfer charges. It gets 210 shares against 96 likes — more shares than likes, which almost never happens — and reaches 47,000 accounts, mostly through WhatsApp forwards coming back as external traffic.
