What is Domain authority?
Domain Authority is a 1-to-100 score invented by the SEO tool company Moz to predict how likely a whole website is to rank. Google does not use it, does not see it, and has said publicly that it has no such site-wide score of its own. It is still handy as a rough comparison — a site scoring 60 is generally stronger than one scoring 12 — but only as a weather report, never as a target. Similar scores exist under other names from other tools, and they all disagree with each other, because each is guessing at the same hidden system from different data.
What does Domain authority mean for a business in Pakistan?
DA gets quoted constantly in Pakistani freelancing circles because it is easy to screenshot and easy to sell. A gig promising DA 70 guest posts usually means a hacked or expired domain that will be devalued within months. If you are paying for links, ask what the site is, who reads it, and whether a real person in your industry would ever open it.
A worked example
A client is offered 20 backlinks from DA 50+ sites for PKR 8,000 in a freelancing group. Opening five of them shows three casino pages and two blogs posting in six unrelated languages. One link from the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce, at whatever DA it happens to carry, is worth more than all twenty.
