Social media management for general clinics in Islamabad & Rawalpindi

A neighbourhood clinic in G-9 or Satellite Town lives on walk-ins at PKR 1,000 to 1,500 a visit. The competition is not another GP, it is the medical store handing out antibiotics with free advice. Being findable on Google Maps and answering fever questions in Urdu is worth more here than a beautifully designed feed.

What makes social media hard for general clinics?

These are the things we hear most from general clinics in the twin cities. If two or three of them sound like your week, everything below is aimed straight at them.

  • 01Business is walk-in only, so one rainy Tuesday wipes out a day's takings with no way to recover it.
  • 02The medical store on the corner gives free advice and antibiotics, and takes your easiest patients.
  • 03The doctor is only in from 5pm to 9pm, so most of the day's phone enquiries go unanswered.
  • 04Nobody looks you up by name. They search 'clinic near me', and if the Google listing is wrong you do not exist.
  • 05Flu season overwhelms the waiting room and the summer months barely cover the rent.

What should a general clinic business post?

4 themes you can return to forever, so you are never staring at the camera wondering what to say. We build your month out of these.

01

When to come and when to wait

A GP's most useful content is triage. Fever for how many days, a cough for how many weeks, a headache with which symptom. This is what makes you the first stop instead of the medical store.

  • Three days of fever: which test to do and when
  • A cough past three weeks and the test everyone delays
  • Which stomach pain can wait until morning and which cannot

02

Your clinic, on the map

Half of this trade's growth is not content at all, it is the Google listing. Hours, photos, the doctor's name, the consultation fee, and where to park on a narrow market road.

  • A 30-second walk from the main road to the clinic door
  • Real photos of the waiting area, the doctor and reception, with no stock images
  • 'Aaj kaun sa doctor available hai' posted every single morning

03

The check-ups people skip

Blood pressure, sugar and cholesterol are cheap to test and expensive to ignore. Build the habit publicly: who should test, how often, what the numbers mean, and at your actual prices.

  • A PKR 2,500 basic check-up and exactly which tests are inside it
  • How to measure blood pressure correctly at home
  • Who needs a sugar test at 30 rather than 50

04

This week in your sector

A clinic is a local business. Talk about what is going around right now, whether that is dengue spraying, a flu wave, a water problem or winter smog, and your page starts working as neighbourhood news.

  • 'Is hafte kya chal raha hai' posted every Monday, based on what you actually saw
  • Dengue spraying in your sector: what it does and what it does not
  • Flu vaccine season: who should get one, and when it stops helping

Which platforms are worth it for general clinics?

What is a customer worth, and what should you spend?

A consultation is PKR 1,000 to 1,500, so this is a volume business: thirty patients a day is roughly PKR 900,000 a month before costs. Dressings, injections and a lab tie-up add the margin. Growth here means being findable, not famous.

Our recommendation for this trade

Who is already doing this well in Pakistan?

Accounts worth studying before you post anything. We are not affiliated with any of them — they are here because the approach is worth copying.

Facebook · a national telehealth network built around female doctors

Sehat Kahani

They made a consultation feel routine and affordable by publishing the price openly. A neighbourhood clinic can do the same thing tomorrow.

Facebook · one of Islamabad's biggest hospital pages

Shifa International Hospital

Their page works as a service desk as much as a brand: timings, departments, appointments. A small clinic's page should do the same job.

YouTube · one of Pakistan's largest health-content publishers

Marham

They answer 'bukhar kitne din normal hai' style questions in Urdu. A GP who answers those on video becomes the area's default doctor.

Where are general clinics concentrated in the twin cities?

We work across all of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, but these are the areas where this trade clusters — useful if you are working out where your customers come from.

Islamabad

  • G-9

G-9 Markaz is Karachi Company, the market ordinary Islamabad actually shops in. Wedding-season cloth, shoes, luggage, mobile repair, cheap electronics and a hundred tailors, spread over blocks that stay busy until late. The residential side is older middle-class housing and government flats, so footfall never depends on visitors.

  • G-11

G-11 Markaz is one of the liveliest markets on the western side — cheap food, bakeries, mobile shops, banks, and enough student and hostel traffic to keep it open late. The sub-sectors mix owner-occupied houses with rented portions, so customers run from retired officers to people in their first job.

  • I-10

I-10 is where a lot of the twin cities' everyday trade happens. The Markaz is packed with keenly priced clothes, shoes, phone shops and furniture, and the sub-sectors hold cheap rentals for students and workers. Its edge on IJP Road makes it as much a Rawalpindi market as an Islamabad one.

  • PWD Housing Society

PWD sits just off the Islamabad Expressway and is one of the cheapest addresses that still carries an Islamabad postcode. Its double road is lined with banks, bakeries, clinics, phone shops and tuition centres, serving renting young families, students and people who commute into both cities every morning.

Rawalpindi

  • Ghauri Town

Ghauri Town runs to seven phases off the Expressway and is the twin cities' student and young-renter belt. Rooms are cheap, mess kitchens feed hundreds, and half the shops are aimed at people who will move out in two years. High turnover means constant new customers and almost no loyalty.

  • Satellite Town

Satellite Town was Rawalpindi's first planned suburb, laid out in lettered blocks in the 1960s, and it has aged into a doctors' quarter. Consultant clinics, dental surgeries and small labs work out of converted houses around Holy Family Hospital. Patients are local and they choose on reputation, not advertising.

These are the phrases people in this trade actually type. If your page does not answer them, someone else's does.

  • clinic near me Islamabad
  • general physician Rawalpindi
  • doctor near me open now
  • clinic in G-9 Islamabad
  • MBBS doctor fees Rawalpindi
  • bukhar ka doctor near me
  • 24 hour clinic Islamabad

Which services move the numbers for general clinics?

General clinics questions we get every week

How much does social media management cost for general clinics in Islamabad?

Packages run from PKR 15,000 to PKR 70,000 a month, and most general clinics start on Business bundle at from PKR 25,000. A neighbourhood clinic wins on being found, not followed. The Business bundle builds the site, sets up and posts weekly to the Google Business Profile, and keeps one social page genuinely alive. A one-time audit of your existing page is PKR 5,000, credited if you go monthly.

Which platform should general clinics focus on first?

Facebook. A neighbourhood clinic gets recommended inside sector and society groups, and those conversations still happen on Facebook. We would run it at 4 posts a week plus daily replies in local groups and add nothing else until that is steady.

What would you actually post for a general clinic business?

when to come and when to wait, your clinic, on the map, the check-ups people skip — those three alone fill a month. A GP's most useful content is triage. Fever for how many days, a cough for how many weeks, a headache with which symptom. This is what makes you the first stop instead of the medical store.

Do you work with general clinics in Rawalpindi as well as Islamabad?

Yes, we treat the twin cities as one service area. We see a lot of general clinics around G-9, G-11, I-10, PWD Housing Society. Most of the work runs over WhatsApp and Drive, and we come to you for the first meeting or a shoot.

How long before a general clinic account starts bringing in customers?

You will see the output in week one and the numbers in month one. For a local trade like this, enquiries usually start moving in the second or third month, once there is enough posted for someone to trust that you are still open and still good.
