Is LinkedIn useful in Pakistan?

It is useful for exactly three groups: people selling to businesses, people hiring, and people who want work abroad or with foreign clients. For a salon, a restaurant or a retail shop it is close to useless. If you are none of the three, skip it and put the hour into Reels.

The longer answer

The groups it works for in Pakistan are specific and easy to recognise. Software houses in Blue Area, I-9 and Gulberg Greens chasing clients in the US and Europe. Recruiters and HR consultants. Corporate trainers. Chartered accountants and tax consultants whose clients are companies rather than individuals. Freelancers who compete on Upwork and want a profile a foreign client can check. And anyone applying for jobs in Dubai, Riyadh or Doha, where a LinkedIn profile is often the first thing a recruiter opens.

What performs there is not what performs anywhere else. Plain text explaining how you solved one specific problem for one specific client, with the real numbers where you can share them. A photograph of your actual team in your actual office, which looks more credible than any stock image. Comments left on other people's posts, which is genuinely the fastest way to be noticed by a small audience. What fails: Canva motivational quote graphics, "I am humbled to announce", and cross-posting a Reel that was cut for a phone-scrolling audience.

The most under-used part is that LinkedIn is a search engine for people. Recruiters and buyers search it by job title and skill, and your headline is the field that decides whether you appear. Write "Tax consultant for Pakistani freelancers and remote workers — Islamabad" and you will be found by the exact people looking. Write "Aspiring Professional | Dreamer | Ex-Student" and you will not be found by anyone.

Volume works backwards here. Two thoughtful posts a month beat twelve forgettable ones, because your audience is small and the same few hundred people see you repeatedly — flooding them makes you background noise. That is why we treat LinkedIn as a second or third platform inside the Pro package rather than something a business starts with, and why we would rather write you eight good posts a quarter than thirty filler ones.

If you would rather we did it

This question usually leads to the Pro package. A serious personal brand or business running 2-3 platforms properly.
