How should I prepare my shop or clinic for a video shoot?

The day before, walk through the premises with the shot list and look through a phone camera, not your own eyes. Counters covered in receipts, charging cables, personal mugs and old posters all show up on video far more than they do in person. Stock the shelves you want to feature, put the best-selling products where they can be filmed, and fix anything broken that will be in frame, such as a flickering tube light or a peeling sign.

Prepare the people. Decide who speaks on camera and give them the questions or bullet prompts in advance, not a script to memorise. Plain, solid colours film better than fine stripes or large logos. Tell staff and any regular customers who might appear what is happening, and get consent from anyone who will be recognisable. If a doctor, lawyer or senior partner is speaking, block their diary for the slot rather than squeezing it between appointments.

Finally, think about sound and logistics. Air conditioners, ceiling fans, generators and traffic on roads like Murree Road or the Expressway are loud on a microphone, so plan which can be switched off for a few minutes. Make sure there is parking near the entrance for kit, and tell your plaza or market management if their rules require it.
