How do I brief an influencer so the post actually sells?

Give the creator the offer, the facts they must get right, the action viewers should take, and what to avoid — then let them make it in their own style. A one-page brief beats a script. Twin-city audiences recognise a creator reading lines, and stiff, scripted posts usually sell less than honest ones.

The longer answer

Creators are hired because their audience trusts how they talk. A brief should protect that while making sure the essentials are right. Start with the purpose in one sentence: "Get people in Rawalpindi to try our new breakfast menu on weekends" or "Drive bookings for bridal trials in January." Then list the facts that must be accurate: the business name and handle, location and how to find it, opening hours, the exact offer and its end date, how to book or order, and the code or link.

Add the things that make a post persuasive without dictating it. What is genuinely special about the product or experience, from the customer's point of view? What doubts do people usually have — parking, price, hygiene, delivery time — that the creator could address naturally? What should viewers do at the end? Include a few things to avoid: competitor mentions, claims you cannot back up, medical or weight-loss promises for health or beauty products, and filming customers or staff who have not agreed.

Then step back. Let the creator choose the format, the hook and the words. Agree whether you will see a draft for factual checks only, not to rewrite their voice. Make sure the paid-partnership label is used. After the post, share what worked: which questions came in, which code uses arrived. Creators who receive feedback often do a better second post. Briefing, reviewing drafts for accuracy and checking labels are part of our influencer work on the Pro package.
