How often should I post on LinkedIn to build a personal brand?

Once or twice a week is enough for most professionals in Pakistan, if each post says something real. LinkedIn audiences are small and see the same people repeatedly, so a steady weekly habit sustained for months beats a burst of daily posts that stops after three weeks. Commenting thoughtfully on others' posts counts too.

The longer answer

On LinkedIn your audience is your network: colleagues, clients, former classmates, recruiters, people in your industry. Many of them will see most of what you post, so quality and consistency matter more than volume. Daily posting tends to drift into filler — motivational quotes, recycled articles, "thoughts?" posts — and people start scrolling past your name. One solid post a week that teaches something, shares a real experience or takes a clear position gets remembered.

Consistency is the harder part. Most professionals in Islamabad start strong and stop within a month because a deadline, a court date or a client crisis gets in the way. The fix is to plan ahead: collect stories and ideas in one conversation a month, draft several posts at once, and schedule them. Keep a few evergreen drafts ready for busy weeks. If a week is missed, simply continue; nobody is counting, and an apologetic "sorry I've been away" post adds nothing.

Posting is only part of the habit. Spending a few minutes a day leaving useful comments on posts by peers, clients and people you would like to work with often builds more visibility than posting itself, because your name appears in front of their networks. Replying to comments on your own posts keeps the conversation going and is noticed by the people who took time to respond. On our Growth plan we ghost-write one or two posts a week for a personal profile, draft replies, and add a post in a month with something worth saying, such as a launch, a ruling or a new hire.
