How much commission does Daraz take from sellers?
Daraz's commission is a percentage of the sale price that varies by product category, and sellers also pay a payment handling fee and, depending on the programme, part of the shipping. Rates change, so the current figures are in Seller Center's fee schedule. Work out your margin per product after all fees before setting a Daraz price in Pakistan.
Daraz seller se kitna commission leta hai?
The longer answer
The commission is the main fee and it depends on the category: electronics, fashion, beauty and home goods are not charged the same rate. On top of that, Daraz deducts a payment fee on each order to cover cash on delivery and online payment handling. Shipping is the third part. Depending on the product's weight and size and on whether you join free-shipping or other campaign programmes, the seller may bear some or all of the delivery cost. These deductions are shown per order in your statement, so you can see the exact amounts once you start selling.
Then there are the costs that are not called fees but cost money all the same. Vouchers and discounts you agree to fund during campaigns. Sponsored ads, charged per click. Returns, where you may lose the shipping cost both ways and sometimes the product if it comes back damaged. Packaging. For a seller in Rawalpindi shipping across Pakistan, these can matter as much as the commission.
Here is a hypothetical way to price one product. Take your landed cost, add packaging, then subtract from the selling price the category commission, the payment fee and the expected shipping share at the current rates in Seller Center. Allow something for returns based on your category. Whatever is left is your margin before advertising. If that number is thin, a campaign discount will push it negative, and no amount of marketing fixes a product that loses money on each order.
An agency's fee for managing your listings and ads is separate and paid to the agency; Daraz's fees and ad spend are deducted by Daraz or paid to Daraz directly. Ask anyone managing your store to show their work in these terms.
