Word count is a poor guide to effort. A ten-word ad headline for a clinic in F-10 might take an hour of research into what patients search, what the platform allows and what competitors already say. A five-hundred-word blog post on a familiar topic might take less. That is why experienced writers often price by the piece or the month rather than the word, and why quotes for 'website copy' can vary so widely.

The main cost drivers are the type of copy, the research behind it, the number of languages, and how many rounds of approval are involved. Writing natively in Urdu or Roman Urdu is different work from translating English copy, and usually better, because translated captions read stiffly. There is no platform fee inside copywriting; if the copy is for ads, the budget to show those ads is ad spend paid directly to Meta or Google, separately.

When comparing writers, ask what is included. Does the price cover keyword and question research, or only writing? How many revisions? Will someone check Urdu by reading it?
