Which platform is best for a restaurant in Rawalpindi?
Instagram and TikTok, with Google Maps doing the quiet work underneath. In Rawalpindi people decide where to eat from short video — steam, cheese pull, the grill — then check Maps for the location and the reviews. Facebook still matters for family bookings and Ramadan deals. Post the food, not your logo.
Rawalpindi mein restaurant ke liye kaun sa platform sab se acha hai?
The longer answer
Rawalpindi is not Islamabad and the difference shows in what performs. TikTok is heavier here than in the F sectors, the audience is younger and far more price-aware, and a clear deal beats a beautiful plating shot. A PKR 450 platter announced in the first second of a video will travel around Commercial Market, Bank Road and the Murree Road crowd in a way a moody flat-lay never will. Bahria Town Phase 4 restaurants compete more on ambience, so there the room, the lighting and the seating actually belong in the video.
The format that works is almost rude in its simplicity. Seven seconds, shot close at the pass rather than on a tripod across the room, real sizzle audio instead of a music intro, and the price on screen immediately. Vertical, always. Film the moment of the cheese pull, the naan coming off the tandoor, the karahi hitting the table. One person with a phone can produce a week of this in twenty minutes during the afternoon lull, and it beats anything shot in a studio.
Seasonality is most of this business. Iftar deals need to be live ten days before Ramadan begins, not on the first roza, because families decide where they are booking in advance. Eid and wedding season fill the hall and are the moment to be posting hardest, not to go quiet because the staff are busy. And in the older parts of the city the evening load-shedding slot lands squarely in the best posting window, so schedule the week ahead rather than depending on somebody having power and a free hand at 9pm.
Underneath all of it, Google Maps is doing the work you do not see. Photographs uploaded regularly, hours that are actually correct through Ramadan, and a reply to every review including the one complaining about parking. If you are on a delivery aggregator, keep those menu prices in sync with your own — nothing generates bad reviews faster than a customer discovering the app price and the counter price are different.
