LinkedIn for universities: what actually works in Pakistan
Placements, research, MoUs and faculty hiring live here, and employers check it before they come to your career fair. For universities we rank LinkedIn number 4 of the platforms worth your time, and we would run it at 3 posts a week Having it managed for you starts at PKR 15,000 a month.
Why does LinkedIn work for this trade?
Placements, research, MoUs and faculty hiring live here, and employers check it before they come to your career fair.
Who you are reaching here
Final-year FSc and A-level students, the fathers comparing fee challans against rankings, current students who own your comment section, alumni abroad, and faculty candidates checking whether the place looks alive.
What holds this trade back
Everything rides on the entry-test and admission windows, and for the other eight months the page posts seminar photographs nobody reads.
What does LinkedIn want from a universitie account?
Your themes stay the same everywhere; what changes is the shape they take here. 3 posts a week — and each of these translates into a different kind of LinkedIn post.

How does LinkedIn decide who sees a post?
LinkedIn shows a post to a slice of your network first, then expands it based on comments longer than one word and how long people stay on the post. Dwell time is the lever, which is why document carousels and long text posts beat everything else. Outbound links get held back, so put the link in the first comment. Posts keep circulating for two or three days, far longer than any other platform, and thoughtful comments you leave on other people's posts reach as many people as your own posts do.
Formats, lengths, caption limits and the best posting windows in Pakistan Standard Time are the same whatever trade you are in, so they live in one place rather than being repeated on every guide.
LinkedIn formats, posting times and monetisation in Pakistan →What we do on LinkedIn every month
If you would rather not do the above yourself, this is exactly what we take off you. Managed LinkedIn for universities starts at PKR 70,000+ a month.
- 01Rewrite your headline, About section and banner so a recruiter or a foreign client understands what you do in five seconds
- 02Write and publish 8–12 posts a month in your own voice, drawn from one 20-minute call a month where you just talk
- 03Build 2 document carousels a month — still the format with the most reach on this platform
- 04Comment properly on 20–30 relevant posts a month from your account, because that reach often beats your own posts
- 05Turn a long video you already recorded into a native LinkedIn cut under 2 minutes with burnt-in subtitles
- 06Keep the company page posting so the profile does not look abandoned when a prospect checks it after a call
- 07Report on profile views, search appearances and connection requests from decision-makers — not on likes
Should universities be anywhere else?
LinkedIn first. After it is running steadily, these are the next platforms worth your time in this trade — in this order.
| Platform | Priority | How often | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| #1 | 5 Reels weekly + daily stories in admission season | This is where an eighteen-year-old actually chooses between two universities, and where your student societies already live. | |
| #2 | 5 posts a week, daily through the admission window | The fathers paying the fee, the alumni and the admission-enquiry flood are all still here, and this is the biggest of the rooms. | |
| YouTube | #3 | 3–4 videos a month | A campus tour, an entry-test explainer and a convocation stream get watched all year by people deciding where to apply. |
| TikTok | #5 | 3–4 clips a week | It reaches students who never open Instagram, and hostel-life and society clips do the recruiting without a single brochure. |

LinkedIn questions from universities
Is LinkedIn actually worth it for universities?
Placements, research, MoUs and faculty hiring live here, and employers check it before they come to your career fair. We would rank it number 4 of the platforms worth your time in this trade, and run it at 3 posts a week.
How often should a universitie business post on LinkedIn?
3 posts a week. That figure is set by what this trade can sustain, not by what the platform would like. Posting three times a week for a year beats posting daily for a month and then stopping.
Should universities be on LinkedIn before anything else?
No. Instagram comes first for universities — LinkedIn is number 4 here. It is worth adding once the first platform is steady, for the reason above.
What is the first thing a universitie account gets wrong on LinkedIn?
Posting about the business instead of about the customer's problem. Everything rides on the entry-test and admission windows, and for the other eight months the page posts seminar photographs nobody reads. That is what your LinkedIn posts should be answering, in 3 posts a week
What does it cost to have someone run my LinkedIn account?
From PKR 15,000 a month with us. For universities we usually recommend Pro at PKR 70,000+. A university needs Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn moving together and a surge through the admission window. Pro covers three platforms, a month-ahead calendar, paid promotion in test season and a call every two weeks.
