What is Local pack?
The local pack is the block of three business listings with a small map that Google places near the top of the results page when a search looks local. It sits above the ordinary blue links, so being fourth is close to being invisible. What goes in it is decided mostly by three things: how relevant your profile is to the words typed, how close you are to the searcher, and how prominent you are across reviews, mentions and the strength of your website. You cannot buy a place in it — the paid slot sitting above it is a separate, labelled ad unit.
