What is Indexing?
Indexing is Google storing a copy of your page so it can be shown in results. It is the step after crawling: a bot visits the page, then Google decides whether the page is worth keeping. Plenty of pages get crawled and never indexed — thin pages, near-duplicates, pages carrying a noindex tag, or pages Google simply judges not worth the storage. If a page is not indexed it cannot rank for anything, no matter how good the keyword work is, which makes this the first thing to check when a brand-new page brings in nothing at all.
What does Indexing mean for a business in Pakistan?
Most my website is not on Google complaints in Pakistan are indexing problems, not ranking problems. Sites built on cheap shared hosting are often left with a stray noindex tag from the staging build, or a robots file copied straight out of a template. Search Console is free and states the reason in plain English — open the Pages report and it names every exclusion.
A worked example
A shop publishes 40 product pages. The Search Console Pages report shows 12 indexed, 26 Crawled - currently not indexed, and 2 Excluded by noindex tag. Removing the noindex fixes 2 immediately. The other 26 are near-identical 60-word pages, so merging them into 6 proper 400-word category pages is the real fix.
