What is Content calendar?

A content calendar is the schedule of what gets published, where and when, written down in advance. It can be a spreadsheet or a shared doc — the tool is irrelevant, the commitment is not. Its real job is moving decisions away from the day of posting, when you are busy and will skip. A workable calendar shows the date, the platform, the pillar, the hook and the status of the file, so anyone can see at a glance what is shot, what is edited and what is late. A month at a time is usually the right unit.

What does Content calendar mean for a business in Pakistan?

Two things must be on a Pakistani calendar or it will be wrong: the religious calendar and the wedding season. Posting volume should rise before Ramadan and around Eid, shift later into the night during the last ten days when engagement patterns move, and rise again through the October to February wedding months for anything touching clothes, food, venues, salons or photography.

A worked example

A caterer's calendar plans 20 posts for the month: 8 Reels, 8 stories and 4 Facebook posts, each tagged by pillar and mapped to one of two shoot days. Eleven of the 20 are Ramadan menu content, scheduled across the two weeks before the first roza when people are booking, not during it when they have already decided.

These come up in the same conversations and are worth reading together.
