What is Colour palette?

A brand colour palette is the fixed set of colours a brand uses, each defined with exact codes: HEX and RGB for screens, CMYK for print, and sometimes Pantone for matching paint or fabric. A typical palette has one or two primary colours that people should associate with the brand, a few neutrals for backgrounds and text, and perhaps an accent for buttons and highlights. Good palettes are tested for contrast, so text stays readable and accessible, and checked on cheap phone screens and in print, where colours shift. Without exact codes, the same 'blue' drifts a little each time someone eyeballs it, and the brand slowly stops looking like itself.

What does Colour palette mean for a business in Pakistan?

Colours carry local associations: green is linked to the national flag and many religious or political uses, and red and gold read as weddings. Printing on Panaflex and local offset presses also shifts colours noticeably, so checking a printed proof before a large print run in Rawalpindi's printing markets is worth the delay.

A worked example

Say a G-11 bakery's palette is a warm brown #6B3E26, cream #F6EBDD and a muted pink accent #E8A0A8. Its boxes, signboard and Instagram templates use the same codes. The printer receives the CMYK values and a printed swatch so the boxes do not come out orange.

These come up in the same conversations and are worth reading together.
