Social media management for software houses in Islamabad & Rawalpindi

A forty-person software house in I-8 does not need followers. It needs three things: CVs from decent developers, a client who arrived without a referral, and a reason for a foreign buyer to trust a Pakistani vendor. A senior developer costs PKR 400,000 a month, so an empty careers page is expensive.

What makes social media hard for software houses?

These are the things we hear most from software houses in the twin cities. If two or three of them sound like your week, everything below is aimed straight at them.

  • 01Almost every project is under NDA, so the work you are proudest of cannot be shown, named or even hinted at.
  • 02You compete for developers against the big Lahore houses on salary and lose good juniors to a remote US contract paying in dollars.
  • 03Client acquisition still runs through Upwork and one ageing referral, and when that dries up there is no pipeline behind it.
  • 04Your website says 'end-to-end digital solutions' and looks identical to two hundred other Pakistani software houses.
  • 05Marketing gets whatever is left after payroll, and the person doing it is a junior designer squeezing posts between sprints.

What should a software house business post?

4 themes you can return to forever, so you are never staring at the camera wondering what to say. We build your month out of these.

01

How we actually build

Show engineering practice rather than logos. A real pull request, a migration that went wrong, the checklist a senior runs before merging — this is what convinces both a CTO and a candidate.

  • Our code review checklist walked through on a real pull request
  • Why we moved a client off one database and what the migration cost
  • A sprint at our office, Monday planning to Friday demo

02

The careers pipeline

Hiring is the highest-return content you can make. Publish the interview process, the honest first-year salary and the reasons CVs get rejected, and applications arrive already prepared.

  • Our interview process step by step, including the take-home task
  • What a fresh graduate genuinely earns here in year one
  • Three CVs we rejected this month and the exact reason for each

03

Proof without breaking the NDA

You cannot name the client, but you can show the craft. Internal tools, architecture diagrams, load tests on your own systems and open-source work all prove capability without naming anyone.

  • A load test on our own internal tool, with the numbers on screen
  • The architecture we use for fintech clients, drawn on a whiteboard
  • The open-source library our team maintains and why we built it

04

Islamabad tech, from the inside

Being visibly local is an advantage nobody uses. Talk about hiring here, office costs here, and what actually works in this city — it reaches both talent and buyers looking for a Pakistan partner.

  • Why we chose an I-8 office over Blue Area
  • Hiring in Islamabad against Lahore: what really differs
  • What PSEB registration got us, and what it did not

Which platforms are worth it for software houses?

Ranked for this trade specifically, with how often we would post on each.

Platform priority for software houses
PlatformPriorityHow oftenWhy it works for this trade
LinkedIn#15 posts per week plus 1 long article per monthBuyers, developers and partners are all in one place, and a single engineering post reaches a CTO in Dubai and a final-year student in H-12 on the same day.
YouTube#22 videos per month plus 4 ShortsAn engineering walkthrough gives a foreign client something to watch before the discovery call, which shortens the trust gap and raises your rate.
Instagram#33 posts per week plus storiesOffice life, hackathons and Eid dinners are the recruitment advert that actually works on a twenty-four-year-old developer.
Facebook#43 posts per weekPakistani developer job groups and university society pages still run on Facebook, and that is where internship applications come from.

What is a customer worth, and what should you spend?

A mid-level developer costs PKR 250,000 to 450,000 a month fully loaded, and a wrong hire wastes three months of it. A single twelve-month offshore contract is worth PKR 2 crore or more, so content that shortens the trust gap is cheap by comparison.

Who is already doing this well in Pakistan?

Accounts worth studying before you post anything. We are not affiliated with any of them — they are here because the approach is worth copying.

LinkedIn

Systems Limited

Pakistan's largest listed IT company posts client wins and employee stories relentlessly — visibility is why buyers assume scale before the first call.

LinkedIn

Devsinc

Turned hiring itself into content, so a huge share of its applications arrive from people who already know the interview process.

LinkedIn

Arbisoft

Writes openly about engineering culture and how it works with clients, which does more for recruitment than any job advert.

Where are software houses concentrated in the twin cities?

We work across all of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, but these are the areas where this trade clusters — useful if you are working out where your customers come from.

Islamabad

  • Blue Area

Islamabad's central business district: a long strip of office towers along Jinnah Avenue, sitting between the F and G sectors. Banks, telecom head offices, law chambers, travel agents and consultancies are stacked floor on floor, with ground-floor cafés feeding the lunch rush. Almost nobody lives here, and by nine at night it is empty.

  • I-8

I-8 is the best-planned of the I sectors and the one with real office money in it. The Markaz holds banks, private hospitals, coaching academies and corporate branch offices, and the residential blocks are settled professional families. Sitting beside Faizabad and the Expressway, it pulls customers in from Rawalpindi too.

  • I-10

I-10 is where a lot of the twin cities' everyday trade happens. The Markaz is packed with keenly priced clothes, shoes, phone shops and furniture, and the sub-sectors hold cheap rentals for students and workers. Its edge on IJP Road makes it as much a Rawalpindi market as an Islamabad one.

  • F-8

F-8 is where Islamabad goes for its legal work. The district courts sit in F-8 Markaz, so the plazas around them are wall to wall with lawyers' chambers, stamp vendors and typists. Ayub Market handles the daily shopping, and the residents are largely government officers and settled professional families.

  • Gulberg Greens

Gulberg Greens is farmhouse Islamabad — big farmhouse plots off the Expressway that turned into a wedding and events belt. Marquees, open-air restaurants, nurseries and shoot locations line the blocks, while the Civic Centre side carries offices and clinics. Bookings peak from October to March and go quiet through Ramadan.

Rawalpindi

  • Bahria Town Phase 7–8

Phases 7 and 8 are the newer, far bigger end of Bahria Town Rawalpindi, built around the Grand Jamia Masjid and the Eiffel Tower replica that every visitor photographs. Plots are still selling and houses are still going up, so the businesses that win are the ones people drive across town to see.

These are the phrases people in this trade actually type. If your page does not answer them, someone else's does.

Which services move the numbers for software houses?

Software houses questions we get every week

How much does social media management cost for software houses in Islamabad?

Packages run from PKR 15,000 to PKR 70,000 a month, and most software houses start on Growth at PKR 35,000. One recording day a month gives an engineering video, office footage and four weeks of LinkedIn posts. Growth covers that editing volume plus the SEO, so the careers page and the contact form both fill. A one-time audit of your existing page is PKR 5,000, credited if you go monthly.

Which platform should software houses focus on first?

LinkedIn. Buyers, developers and partners are all in one place, and a single engineering post reaches a CTO in Dubai and a final-year student in H-12 on the same day. We would run it at 5 posts per week plus 1 long article per month and add nothing else until that is steady.

What would you actually post for a software house business?

how we actually build, the careers pipeline, proof without breaking the nda — those three alone fill a month. Show engineering practice rather than logos. A real pull request, a migration that went wrong, the checklist a senior runs before merging — this is what convinces both a CTO and a candidate.

Do you work with software houses in Rawalpindi as well as Islamabad?

Yes, we treat the twin cities as one service area. We see a lot of software houses around Blue Area, I-8, I-10, F-8. Most of the work runs over WhatsApp and Drive, and we come to you for the first meeting or a shoot.

How long before a software house account starts bringing in customers?

You will see the output in week one and the numbers in month one. For a local trade like this, enquiries usually start moving in the second or third month, once there is enough posted for someone to trust that you are still open and still good.
