Social media management for SaaS startups in Islamabad & Rawalpindi

A Pakistani SaaS team lives on two numbers: signups and runway. You are usually selling a PKR 3,000-a-month subscription to businesses that have never paid for software in their lives, with eighteen months of money in the bank. Content is the only channel you can afford before you can afford ads.

What makes social media hard for SaaS startups?

These are the things we hear most from SaaS startups in the twin cities. If two or three of them sound like your week, everything below is aimed straight at them.

  • 01Pakistani SMEs are used to free. Getting a Rawalpindi distributor to pay PKR 3,000 a month takes four demos and a trial he forgets to use.
  • 02Churn peaks in month two, when the shop stops entering data and blames the app for being complicated.
  • 03You are always three months from a funding conversation, so the story has to be public well before you need it.
  • 04Two engineers ship features every week and nobody writes any of it down — the changelog lives and dies in Slack.
  • 05Local payment rails fight you: failed cards, manual IBFT transfers and no clean recurring billing, so signups you paid for never convert.

What should a saas startup business post?

4 themes you can return to forever, so you are never staring at the camera wondering what to say. We build your month out of these.

01

Build in public

Post the week: what shipped, what broke, what you deleted. Founders, investors and future hires all follow progress, and it costs nothing because the work already happened.

  • Week 14: what we shipped, what broke, what we learned
  • The feature we deleted and why nobody complained
  • Our first hundred paying customers, broken down by city

02

Teach the job, not the tool

Your buyer has a problem long before he has your product. Teach how to do the job properly even with a spreadsheet — then the software becomes the obvious shortcut.

  • Stock-taking for a distributor with 900 SKUs, done in one evening
  • How a small clinic should handle appointment no-shows, with or without our app
  • Filing sales tax for a small business: the spreadsheet method first

03

The customer in their own shop

Film a real user at 8am in their own workplace using the product badly, honestly, in Urdu. It sells better than any polished demo because the viewer recognises the counter and the register.

  • A Raja Bazaar wholesaler shows how he uses it before the shop opens
  • A salon owner in F-10 on what she used before and what she still does on paper
  • One customer's before and after, in her own words and her own accent

04

Founder in the open

Small teams win attention by being human. Runway, pricing decisions, a hire that failed, an investor you refused — these posts get forwarded inside founder groups within the hour.

  • What our runway actually looks like, stated in months
  • Why we said no to an investor
  • Hiring our fourth engineer, the whole process on camera

Which platforms are worth it for SaaS startups?

Ranked for this trade specifically, with how often we would post on each.

YouTube#22 videos per month plus 4 ShortsSetup guides and product walkthroughs cut demo calls in half and become the answer when someone searches your category in Urdu.
Instagram#33 Reels per weekReels of the product killing one small daily annoyance reach the young operations staff who become your champion inside a company.
TikTok#44 clips per weekIf your users are shopkeepers, students or drivers, this is the cheapest first touch available anywhere in Pakistan.

What is a customer worth, and what should you spend?

Seats sell at PKR 1,500 to 8,000 a month, so one customer who stays two years is worth PKR 50,000 to 200,000. Paid signups here arrive and never activate; content brings the finance manager who had already decided before the demo call.

Our recommendation for this trade

Pro — PKR 70,000+ per month

Two or three platforms, a product video every fortnight, and a push every time you ship. Pro also covers the ad account for the weeks you put money behind signups, so a launch never waits on a designer.

  • 2-3 platforms managed together
  • Near-unlimited editing (fair use)
  • Paid ads managed (ad spend separate)
  • Full content calendar, planned a month ahead
  • Consultancy call every two weeks
  • Weekly report plus a live dashboard

Who is already doing this well in Pakistan?

Accounts worth studying before you post anything. We are not affiliated with any of them — they are here because the approach is worth copying.

Instagram

SadaPay

Built a waiting list before it had a licence, using plain, playful language. The product was late and the audience still waited.

LinkedIn

Bazaar Technologies

A B2B company that publishes about how the kiryana supply chain works rather than about its own app — the customer's business is the subject.

LinkedIn

Educative

A Pakistani-founded developer-education product that grew on written material answering exactly what its buyers were already searching for.

Where are SaaS startups concentrated in the twin cities?

We work across all of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, but these are the areas where this trade clusters — useful if you are working out where your customers come from.

Islamabad

  • Blue Area

Islamabad's central business district: a long strip of office towers along Jinnah Avenue, sitting between the F and G sectors. Banks, telecom head offices, law chambers, travel agents and consultancies are stacked floor on floor, with ground-floor cafés feeding the lunch rush. Almost nobody lives here, and by nine at night it is empty.

  • F-7

F-7 Markaz — everybody calls it Jinnah Super — is the market every person in Islamabad has shopped in at least once. Saeed Book Bank, bridal boutiques, salons, phone shops and a thick ring of restaurants. Behind it the sector is quiet, leafy and costly, full of embassy staff and business families.

  • F-8

F-8 is where Islamabad goes for its legal work. The district courts sit in F-8 Markaz, so the plazas around them are wall to wall with lawyers' chambers, stamp vendors and typists. Ayub Market handles the daily shopping, and the residents are largely government officers and settled professional families.

  • I-8

I-8 is the best-planned of the I sectors and the one with real office money in it. The Markaz holds banks, private hospitals, coaching academies and corporate branch offices, and the residential blocks are settled professional families. Sitting beside Faizabad and the Expressway, it pulls customers in from Rawalpindi too.

  • E-11

E-11 grew out of separate cooperative societies, which is why its streets do not line up like the rest of Islamabad. It is the city's flat belt: young couples, students and bachelors renting apartments, with a mini market in every sub-sector and a crowded Markaz of eateries, hostels and property offices.

These are the phrases people in this trade actually type. If your page does not answer them, someone else's does.

Which services move the numbers for SaaS startups?

SaaS startups questions we get every week

How much does social media management cost for SaaS startups in Islamabad?

Packages run from PKR 15,000 to PKR 70,000 a month, and most SaaS startups start on Pro at PKR 70,000+. Two or three platforms, a product video every fortnight, and a push every time you ship. Pro also covers the ad account for the weeks you put money behind signups, so a launch never waits on a designer. A one-time audit of your existing page is PKR 5,000, credited if you go monthly.

Which platform should SaaS startups focus on first?

LinkedIn. Every buyer, investor and future hire in Pakistan's tech circle reads it daily, and a build-in-public post lands in founder WhatsApp groups within the hour. We would run it at 5 posts per week and add nothing else until that is steady.

What would you actually post for a saas startup business?

build in public, teach the job, not the tool, the customer in their own shop — those three alone fill a month. Post the week: what shipped, what broke, what you deleted. Founders, investors and future hires all follow progress, and it costs nothing because the work already happened.

Do you work with SaaS startups in Rawalpindi as well as Islamabad?

Yes, we treat the twin cities as one service area. We see a lot of SaaS startups around Blue Area, F-7, F-8, I-8. Most of the work runs over WhatsApp and Drive, and we come to you for the first meeting or a shoot.

How long before a saas startup account starts bringing in customers?

You will see the output in week one and the numbers in month one. For a local trade like this, enquiries usually start moving in the second or third month, once there is enough posted for someone to trust that you are still open and still good.
