Captions that get replies for podcasters

A podcast caption has one job: move someone from a forty-second clip to the full episode. Most twin-city shows write the guest's name and nothing else. Name the claim, name the timestamp, and say where to watch. Add one line for people who want to sit in the chair.

12 captions you can use today

Each one says when to reach for it. Swap in your own numbers and area names.

  1. 01

“Episode is live: a CDA officer explains, on record, why a plot file sits for eleven months. He does not defend the system once. Full two hours on YouTube, link in bio, and comment the timestamp that made you stop.”

“Episode lag gaya hai. CDA ke afsar ne on record bataya ke plot file gyara mahine kyun leti hai, aur aik dafa bhi system ka difa nahi kiya. Poore do ghante YouTube pe hain, link bio mein. Jis timestamp pe aap ruke, comment mein likh dein.”

Release-day post for a bureaucracy episode with a genuinely useful guest.

  2. 02

“This is forty seconds out of a two-hour conversation and it is not even the sharpest part. The rest is on the channel. Start at minute fifty-two, link in bio.”

“Ye do ghante ki baat cheet ka sirf chalees second hai, aur sab se sakht hissa ye nahi hai. Baqi channel pe hai. Bawan minute se shuru karein, link bio mein.”

Standard clip caption when the clip is outrunning the full episode.

  3. 03

“He walked out in the middle of the recording and we published the episode with that part in it. Watch it on YouTube, then tell me in the comments whether I should have cut it.”

“Recording ke beech mein uth kar chale gaye, aur hum ne wo hissa rakh kar episode lagaya hai. YouTube pe dekh lein, phir comment mein batayein ke wo cut karna chahiye tha ya nahi.”

A shoot that went wrong, published deliberately instead of quietly binned.

  4. 04

“Want to sit in this chair? We record Tuesdays and Fridays in G-11, two mics, no scripted questions and no list sent in advance. WhatsApp the number in bio with one line on what you would talk about.”

“Is kursi pe baithna hai? Mangal aur Jumme ko G-11 mein record karte hain, do mic, na scripted sawal na pehle se list. Bio wale number pe WhatsApp karein aur aik line mein batayein baat kis pe hogi.”

Guest pipeline post, run monthly so bookings never depend on your contacts.

  5. 05

“No guest this week, so it is ten of your voice notes answered one by one, forty minutes, no edits between them. Send yours on WhatsApp and it goes into the next listener round.”

“Is hafte mehmaan nahi hai, is liye aap ke das voice note aik aik kar ke sune hain, chalees minute, beech mein koi cut nahi. Apna voice note WhatsApp kar dein, agle round mein aa jaye ga.”

Solo episode weeks in Ramadan or exam season when guests all cancel.

  6. 06

“The whole room cost us this much: mics, treatment, lights, camera, item by item in rupees on screen. If you are building a setup in Islamabad, save this and comment your budget.”

“Poora kamra itne ka bana: mic, treatment, lights, camera, har cheez ka rate screen pe rupay mein. Islamabad mein setup bana rahe hain to ye save kar lein aur apna budget comment karein.”

Gear and setup post, the one that brings in future podcasters, not listeners.

  7. 07

“Sponsors want one audience number and ours is split across YouTube, Shorts and Spotify. This episode is us being honest about that instead of inventing a figure. Brands, WhatsApp for the real breakdown.”

Sponsorship-facing post, published when you start pitching brands seriously.

  8. 08

“Episode one hundred. At episode four there were eleven listeners and two of them were my cousins. Full episode is up now, and comment the number of the episode you started from.”

“Episode sau. Episode char pe gyara sunne wale thay aur un mein do mere cousin thay. Poora episode lag gaya hai. Comment karein aap kis episode se sath aaye.”

Milestone post that gets long-time listeners to identify themselves publicly.

  9. 09

“Two guests, two different months, opposite answers to the same question about leaving Pakistan. Seven minutes, cut side by side. Watch it and pick a side in the comments.”

“Do mehmaan, do alag mahine, mulk chhorne wale aik hi sawal pe bilkul ulta jawab. Saat minute, saath saath. Dekh kar comment mein apni side batayein.”

Compilation clip built from the back catalogue in a week with no new episode.

  10. 10

“New episode goes up every Thursday at 8pm, same time, including through Ramzan. Join the WhatsApp channel in bio so you stop finding out three days late.”

“Naya episode har Jumeraat raat aath baje, wohi waqt, Ramzan mein bhi. Bio mein WhatsApp channel join kar lein taake teen din baad pata na chale.”

Schedule post, repeated whenever you change or defend the release slot.

  11. 11

“He turned down a nine-lakh salary in Dubai and explains the maths of that decision properly, not emotionally. Full episode is up now. Send it to the friend who is packing.”

“Dubai ki nau lakh salary chhor di, aur is faisle ka hisaab jazbaat se nahi, numbers se samjhaya hai. Poora episode lag gaya hai. Us dost ko bhejein jo bag pack kar raha hai.”

Return-migration episode, the format that travels furthest into WhatsApp groups.

  12. 12

“The comments on this one are going to be a fight and I am leaving them open. Say what you want, but say it under your own name. Full episode link is in bio.”

“Is pe comments mein larai hogi aur main band nahi kar raha. Jo kehna hai kahein, magar apne naam se kahein. Poora episode ka link bio mein hai.”

A politically loaded clip where moderation will be the week's main work.

Using these captions

How do I use these captions?

A podcast caption has one job: move someone from a forty-second clip to the full episode. Most twin-city shows write the guest's name and nothing else. Name the claim, name the timestamp, and say where to watch. Add one line for people who want to sit in the chair.

Should I use them word for word?

Use the shape, change the words. These are written for podcasters generally; the version that works is the one with your own price, your own area and your own customer's actual question in it.

Do these work in Urdu?

Several have a Roman Urdu version below, and in the twin cities that version usually performs better on TikTok and Facebook. On LinkedIn, stay in English.
