Social media management for podcasters in Islamabad & Rawalpindi

A podcast in Islamabad is really a YouTube channel with a microphone. Almost nobody here listens on Spotify at scale — they watch the clips. One two-hour sit-down should leave your editor with eight vertical cuts. A two-mic room in G-11 costs PKR 300,000 to 500,000 to build once, then the cost is edit time, every week, forever.

What makes social media hard for podcasters?

These are the things we hear most from podcasters in the twin cities. If two or three of them sound like your week, everything below is aimed straight at them.

  • 01You record two hours and the edit takes three days, so one guest a week is your ceiling and the channel stalls the moment your editor takes leave.
  • 02Islamabad guests cancel the morning of the shoot — a minister's staffer, a professor, a founder who suddenly got nervous — and the booked studio sits empty.
  • 03The full episode does 4,000 views and one clip from it does 200,000, and you have no system for finding which forty seconds those were.
  • 04Sponsors ask for numbers you cannot produce, because half your audience is on Shorts, some on Spotify, and none of it adds up into one figure.
  • 05One political sentence from a guest and you spend the whole week moderating a comment section instead of booking the next episode.

What should a podcaster business post?

4 themes you can return to forever, so you are never staring at the camera wondering what to say. We build your month out of these.

01

The full sit-down

The two-hour episode is the asset everything else gets cut from. Book people with a story nobody has heard yet, not people who are already on every other Pakistani podcast this month.

  • A CDA officer explaining, on record, why a plot file takes eleven months
  • An engineer who left a PKR 900,000 salary in Dubai to come back to Islamabad
  • An F-10 restaurant owner walking through what a losing month actually looks like

02

Clips that argue

Cut the forty seconds where the guest says something a viewer will disagree with, not the part where he introduces himself. One opinion per clip, vertical, captions burned in.

  • A guest's blunt answer to 'should young Pakistanis leave the country?'
  • 'Pakistan mein startup fail hone ki asal wajah' as a 45-second cut
  • Two guests from different episodes disagreeing, cut side by side

03

Host without a guest

Guests go quiet in Ramadan and around exam season. Solo episodes and listener question rounds keep the release schedule alive and cost you nothing but an evening.

  • Ten listener voice notes sent on WhatsApp, answered in one episode
  • Your honest review of the last ten guests: who dodged, who surprised you
  • A 20-minute solo on why you started the show, published on episode 100

04

Behind the mic

Show the room, the gear and the failed take. People who want to start their own podcast are a big slice of your audience and they share setup content far harder than they share episodes.

  • What the whole setup cost, item by item, in PKR
  • A guest walking out mid-recording, and what you did next
  • How eight clips get pulled out of a two-hour edit in one working day

Facebook#4The full episode plus 2 clips a weekOverseas and older listeners still watch the full episode here and forward it straight into WhatsApp groups.

What is a customer worth, and what should you spend?

A working podcast spends PKR 40,000 to 120,000 a month on editing and clips, plus PKR 5,000 to 15,000 a session for a studio in G-11 or Blue Area. A single brand sponsorship runs PKR 50,000 to 300,000 an episode, so one steady sponsor pays for the whole operation.

Our recommendation for this trade

Pro — PKR 70,000+ per month

A podcast is a long edit plus a clip factory across three platforms. Pro covers near-unlimited editing, thumbnails and a calendar planned a month ahead, which is the only way a weekly episode survives a busy month.

  • 2-3 platforms managed together
  • Near-unlimited editing (fair use)
  • Paid ads managed (ad spend separate)
  • Full content calendar, planned a month ahead
  • Consultancy call every two weeks
  • Weekly report plus a live dashboard

Who is already doing this well in Pakistan?

Accounts worth studying before you post anything. We are not affiliated with any of them — they are here because the approach is worth copying.

YouTube · hundreds of thousands of subscribers

Thought Behind Things (TBT)

Muzamil built the show on a fixed release schedule, same days every week. Consistency, not guest fame, is what made the back catalogue worth searching.

YouTube · one of Pakistan's largest long-form interview channels

The Pakistan Experience

Shehzad Ghias lets a conversation run for two hours without rushing it. The depth is the product; the clips are only the advertising.

YouTube · one of Pakistan's most-watched podcast channels

Junaid Akram's Podcast

Every episode is numbered and titled with the guest's name plus one claim. That is why two-year-old episodes still get found today.

Where are podcasters concentrated in the twin cities?

We work across all of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, but these are the areas where this trade clusters — useful if you are working out where your customers come from.

Islamabad

  • Blue Area

Islamabad's central business district: a long strip of office towers along Jinnah Avenue, sitting between the F and G sectors. Banks, telecom head offices, law chambers, travel agents and consultancies are stacked floor on floor, with ground-floor cafés feeding the lunch rush. Almost nobody lives here, and by nine at night it is empty.

  • F-7

F-7 Markaz — everybody calls it Jinnah Super — is the market every person in Islamabad has shopped in at least once. Saeed Book Bank, bridal boutiques, salons, phone shops and a thick ring of restaurants. Behind it the sector is quiet, leafy and costly, full of embassy staff and business families.

  • F-11

F-11 is apartment Islamabad. Blocks of flats in F-11/1 and F-11/3 keep it younger and denser than the sectors either side, and F-11 Markaz has grown into one of the busiest eating and shopping centres on that half of the city. Property offices, gyms and delivery-heavy kitchens do well here.

  • G-11

G-11 Markaz is one of the liveliest markets on the western side — cheap food, bakeries, mobile shops, banks, and enough student and hostel traffic to keep it open late. The sub-sectors mix owner-occupied houses with rented portions, so customers run from retired officers to people in their first job.

  • I-8

I-8 is the best-planned of the I sectors and the one with real office money in it. The Markaz holds banks, private hospitals, coaching academies and corporate branch offices, and the residential blocks are settled professional families. Sitting beside Faizabad and the Expressway, it pulls customers in from Rawalpindi too.

Rawalpindi

  • Bahria Town Phase 1–6

The first six phases of Bahria Town Rawalpindi are the settled ones — trees grown in, families moved in years ago. Civic Centre in Phase 4 is the commercial anchor, with a cinema, restaurants and clinics. Customers here check your Instagram before they visit, and they will pay for presentation.

Which services move the numbers for podcasters?

Podcasters questions we get every week

How much does social media management cost for podcasters in Islamabad?

Packages run from PKR 15,000 to PKR 70,000 a month, and most podcasters start on Pro at PKR 70,000+. A podcast is a long edit plus a clip factory across three platforms. Pro covers near-unlimited editing, thumbnails and a calendar planned a month ahead, which is the only way a weekly episode survives a busy month. A one-time audit of your existing page is PKR 5,000, credited if you go monthly.

Which platform should podcasters focus on first?

YouTube. The full episode lives here and so does the discovery — people find you by typing a guest's name, not your show's name. We would run it at 1 full episode a week plus 3 shorts cut from it and add nothing else until that is steady.

What would you actually post for a podcaster business?

the full sit-down, clips that argue, host without a guest — those three alone fill a month. The two-hour episode is the asset everything else gets cut from. Book people with a story nobody has heard yet, not people who are already on every other Pakistani podcast this month.

Do you work with podcasters in Rawalpindi as well as Islamabad?

Yes, we treat the twin cities as one service area. We see a lot of podcasters around Blue Area, F-7, F-11, G-11. Most of the work runs over WhatsApp and Drive, and we come to you for the first meeting or a shoot.

How long before a podcaster account starts bringing in customers?

You will see the output in week one and the numbers in month one. For a local trade like this, enquiries usually start moving in the second or third month, once there is enough posted for someone to trust that you are still open and still good.
