Answered · How to
Why does my Facebook page get so little reach even with lots of likes?
Because Facebook shows page posts to only a portion of the people who liked the page, ranked by how much they have interacted with you recently. Old likes from people who never engage barely count. Posts that start conversations, native video, and replies to every comment do more for a twin-city page than posting more often.
The longer answer
Page likes collected years ago, from a giveaway or a boosted post, are not an audience. Facebook decides what each person sees based on who they interact with, what kind of posts they usually engage with, and how others are responding to a given post. If most of your page's followers have not reacted, commented or messaged in a long time, your posts are unlikely to reach them. That is why a page with a large like count can get very little reach while a smaller, active page does better.
What tends to help is content that gets a response from real local people. Short native videos uploaded to Facebook rather than pasted YouTube links. Posts that ask a genuine question people want to answer — which fabric for the winter, which sector should get your next branch. Photos of real stock, real staff and the real shop in Saddar or Blue Area rather than templated graphics. Replying to every comment, because each reply is another interaction and shows others the page is alive. Links that send people off Facebook often get less reach, so put a link in the first comment or use the WhatsApp button instead.
Accept that organic reach on Facebook is limited and decide what you need it for. For many local businesses, the page's main job is to be a trustworthy shopfront for people who search for you, ask in groups or click from Marketplace, and to answer their messages well. Reach to existing followers then matters less than a fast reply. When you do need to reach a specific audience at a specific time — an opening, a sale, Eid stock — a small paid campaign does that more reliably than hoping a post travels.
