Should I use my personal WhatsApp number for my business?
Use a separate number for the business wherever you can. It keeps family chats away from customers, lets staff answer without your phone, survives if you hand over the business, and protects your personal account if the business number is ever restricted. A cheap second SIM in a counter phone is enough for most twin-city shops.

The longer answer
Many small businesses in Pakistan start on the owner's personal number because that is what customers already have. It works until it does not: a customer's order gets buried under a family group, a staff member cannot reply while you are at Friday prayers, or you want to take a day off and cannot. A personal number also mixes your private profile photo and status with your business, which looks less professional and is harder to hand over later.
A dedicated number on WhatsApp Business solves most of this. The number belongs to the business, you can put it on your shop board, Google Business Profile and invoices, and the phone it sits on can stay at the counter or move between staff. Linked devices let you also see chats on a laptop. If you ever sell the business or hire a manager, the number and its chat history go with the business rather than with you.
If you already have years of customers on your personal number, you do not have to lose them. WhatsApp lets you convert an existing number to WhatsApp Business while keeping chat history, and you can then get a new personal SIM for your family. The other route is to keep the personal number, start a new business number, and tell regular customers through a polite one-time message and your shop signage.
Whichever route, register the SIM in the business owner's name with a CNIC you control, turn on two-step verification, and keep the SIM somewhere safe. Losing access to the SIM is one of the commonest ways a business loses its WhatsApp history.
