Should I post the same video on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube?
Yes, post it on all three — but export three separate files instead of downloading and re-uploading. A TikTok watermark tells Instagram the clip is recycled and it gets shown to fewer people. Re-export from your editor with each app's safe zone in mind; it costs about ten minutes per video.
Ek hi video TikTok, Instagram aur YouTube teenon par daalni chahiye?
The longer answer
Instagram states plainly in its Reels recommendation guidance that visibly recycled content — anything carrying another app's watermark — is not eligible for the same push to non-followers. TikTok behaves the same way in the other direction. So the question is never whether to cross-post, it is whether you cross-post a clean file or a screen-recorded one. Save the project in CapCut or Premiere, export three times with no watermark, and the objection disappears.
The three apps also cover different parts of your screen. TikTok puts the caption and the button rail over the bottom right; Instagram puts the caption row lower and the profile strip across the base; YouTube Shorts leaves a different band clear. Text that reads perfectly in one app sits behind a Follow button in another. When we cut a Reel for a clothing brand on Murree Road, the price text sits in the upper third precisely so it survives all three exports without being re-laid out.
The caption should be rewritten, not copied. TikTok captions work short and blunt, with the hook doing the work. Instagram captions can run longer and carry the searchable words — the sector, the price, the service. YouTube Shorts titles are read as titles by a search engine, so the phrase people actually type belongs at the front. This is the ten minutes; the export is automatic, the words are not.
Stagger the posts rather than firing all three at once. We usually put TikTok out first, Instagram a few hours later, and the Shorts cut the following morning, which spreads three test audiences instead of splitting one. Managing two or three platforms properly like this is what the Pro package at PKR 70,000 a month exists for — running them as one calendar with three sets of exports rather than three separate jobs.
The numbers
| Platform | Keep clear of | Caption style | Window we post in (PKT) |
|---|---|---|---|
| TikTok | Bottom right rail and lower caption band | Short, blunt, one hook line | 8pm–11pm |
| Instagram Reels | Lower third and the profile strip at the base | Longer, with searchable words and the city | 9pm–11pm |
| YouTube Shorts | Bottom band and the right-side buttons | Title written as a search phrase | Next morning, 10am–1pm |
| Facebook Reels | Lower third | Plainest version, offer stated directly | Afternoon, 2pm–5pm |
Never download from one app to upload to another. Always re-export from the project file.
