Should I answer "price?" comments publicly or tell people to check their DMs?

"Price?" and "PP" comments are among the most common on Pakistani business posts, and many sellers reply with "check inbox" or "DM sent". Customers have grown tired of it. Some feel the business is hiding the price to judge how much they can pay; some never open the DM; some see a competitor post the price openly and buy there. For products with a fixed price — a ready-made suit, a menu item, a gadget — the simplest answer is the best: reply with the price in the comment, and add how to order.

Not every price can be posted. Custom furniture, bridal makeup, event catering, medical treatments and tuition all depend on details. For these, a public reply can still help: give a starting price or a typical range if you are comfortable, explain what changes it, and invite them to message for an exact quote. That shows openness while protecting you from quoting wrongly. Some businesses worry competitors will see their prices; in practice competitors usually know them already, and customers value the transparency more than the secrecy costs you.

Whatever you decide, be consistent and fast. Agree a rule — public price for these items, range plus DM for those — and use the same wording each time. Pin a comment with prices or a link to a price list, or add a highlight, so the question comes up less. Make sure every "DM sent" reply is backed by an actual message sent within the hour.
