Should I make a separate Instagram account for my business or use my personal one?
Make a separate account for the business. Customers need a profile that is about what you sell, and you need to hand access to staff or an agency without exposing family photos and private messages. The exception is when you are the brand — a makeup artist or a doctor building a personal following.
Business ke liye alag Instagram account banaun ya apna personal use karun?
The longer answer
Running a business from a personal account works for the first few weeks and then becomes awkward in several ways. Your customers see your cousin's wedding between your product posts. Your private DMs and order enquiries land in the same inbox. When you hire someone in Rawalpindi to help, or bring in an agency, you either share your personal password or do everything yourself. And if you sell the business, take a partner, or simply want to step back, the audience you built is tied to your private life.
A dedicated account solves all of that. Set it up as a business account, give it a name and username built around what you sell and where, and link it to a Facebook page and Meta Business Suite so others can be given access with their own logins. Instagram lets you switch between several accounts on one phone, so you are not juggling devices. Followers you already have on your personal account can be pointed to the new one through a story or a pinned post; many will follow without fuss if you tell them why.
There is a real case for staying personal when the person is the product. A home chef whose followers love her kitchen, a physiotherapist who explains exercises on camera, or a stylist known by name may do better from a personal or creator profile, because people follow people. Even then, it usually helps to keep the account public, professional in tone, and free of anything you would not want a customer in Islamabad to read. Whichever you choose, do not run two half-active accounts; pick one to grow and make the other point to it.
