How do I set up Google Analytics 4 on my business website?

Sign in to Google Analytics with a Google account the business owns, not a staff member's personal account. Create an account for the business, a property for the website with the right time zone (Pakistan) and currency, and a web data stream for your domain. GA4 gives you a measurement ID starting with G-. Enhanced measurement, switched on by default, already records page views, scrolls, outbound clicks, site search and file downloads.

Next, install the tag. On Shopify and Wix there is a built-in connection; on WordPress a plugin or theme setting does it; on a custom-built site the developer adds the Google tag to every page. Using Google Tag Manager is the more flexible option, because later tracking, such as WhatsApp button clicks or Meta Pixel events, can be added without editing the site's code each time. Finally, tidy the settings. Change event data retention from the default two months to fourteen months, link Google Search Console and any Google Ads account, add your own office IP or use internal-traffic filters if staff browse the site a lot, and give your agency access through user management rather than sharing your password. Open the Realtime report on your phone and click your own WhatsApp button to see the events arrive.
