How do I find a good video editor in Islamabad or Rawalpindi?

A showreel shows what an editor can do with the best footage they have ever had. What you need to know is what they do with footage like yours: a phone on a tripod in an office in G-11, or a vlog shot in Saddar traffic. Ask for links to complete YouTube videos they edited, and ask what changed for that channel after they started. A good editor talks about retention, openings and pacing, not only transitions and effects.

A short paid test tells you more than any interview. Send ten or fifteen minutes of real footage and the brief you would normally give. Look at three things in the result: whether the opening gets to the point, whether the audio is clean and level, and whether the captions are spelled correctly, including Urdu words and local names. Then send notes and see how they respond. Editors who argue every note, or disappear for days, will do the same on the twentieth video.

Location matters less than people assume. Footage moves over Google Drive, notes over WhatsApp, so an editor in Lahore or Peshawar can serve a channel in F-10 just as well. A local editor or agency is useful when you also need someone at the shoot, someone to sit with you to plan a series, or someone you can meet if things go wrong. Whoever you choose, agree revisions, turnaround, music licensing and file ownership before the first payment.
