How to get reviews on Google

Google gives every business a short review link from inside your Business Profile — the "Ask for reviews" option produces one. Turn that link into a QR code, print it on a card, and put it at the counter, on the receipt, on the delivery bag and on the back of your visiting card. One tap should open the star box. Every extra step you make someone take costs you most of the reviews you would have got.

Timing beats persuasion. Ask when the haircut is finished and they are looking in the mirror, when the repair works, when the food has been eaten — not three days later. For services where you have a WhatsApp thread already open, send the link that same evening with one line: "Shukriya! Agar do minute hon to Google pe review kar dein, bohat madad hoti hai." Personal, short, and from the person who did the work.

Reply to every review, good or bad. Replies are visible, they show the business is being run by someone, and they give you a natural place to repeat what you do and where you are. Thank the good ones specifically — mention what they bought — and answer the bad ones the way you would answer a complaint in your shop: acknowledge, state the fact, offer to fix it.

Two things not to do. Do not buy reviews or ask a cousin with no purchase to post one; Google removes them in batches and the sudden drop looks worse than never having had them. Do not offer a discount in exchange for a review — that breaks Google's rules and any customer can screenshot the offer.
