How do I get my Shopify store to show up on Google?

A surprising number of new Pakistani Shopify stores are invisible for a simple reason: the store is still password-protected from setup, or it is on a plan where the storefront is not yet open. Google cannot index a page it cannot open. Once the store is live, add it to Google Search Console under an account the business owns, verify it, and submit the sitemap Shopify generates at /sitemap.xml. Use the URL Inspection tool on the homepage and a few collections to confirm Google can fetch them.

Next, give Google something worth indexing. Shopify fills in titles and descriptions from your product names by default, which often produces duplicates and vague text. Apps that add filters, reviews or translations can create extra pages or slow the store, so remove any you do not use. Finally, set expectations: new stores with few links often take weeks to be fully indexed, and ranking for broad terms like 'women's clothing Pakistan' against established brands takes months. Specific searches — a fabric, a size, a style plus your city — are where a new store wins first.
