Is Canva good enough, or do I need a graphic designer?

Canva is a genuinely useful tool. It runs on a phone, it is quick, and anyone on your staff can learn it in an afternoon. For a salon in G-11 that needs to post 'closed today' or a new price list, it is exactly the right tool, and paying a designer for that kind of change makes little sense.

The problems come from starting with Canva's own templates. Popular layouts are used by countless other businesses, so customers have seen your offer post before, in someone else's colours. Each person who opens a fresh template makes slightly different choices, and after a few months the grid looks like several businesses. Urdu is another weak spot: font choice is limited, and text pasted in from elsewhere can lose its joins or run in the wrong direction unless someone who reads Urdu checks it.

The arrangement that tends to work is a split. A designer creates your look first, then builds a small set of templates in Canva or Figma for the posts you repeat: offers, timings, new arrivals, testimonials with permission, and announcements. Your team edits those for routine updates, and the designer handles anything new, such as a campaign, a carousel or a festival set.
