Can I use pictures from Google in my business posts?

Google Images is a search engine, not a free library. The photo of a plated biryani or a smiling patient you find there was taken by a photographer, a restaurant or a stock agency, and the rights usually stay with them. Instagram and Facebook act on copyright complaints by removing content, and repeated complaints can put restrictions on an account. For a small business, losing a page you have built for years over a borrowed picture is a bad trade.

There is also a practical reason. Customers in the twin cities are good at spotting stock photos, and a generic image of a spotless clinic tells them nothing about your clinic in F-8. A slightly imperfect phone photo of your actual reception, your actual staff and your actual food builds more trust. Product images from a supplier can be used if the supplier gives permission, which is worth getting in writing on WhatsApp.

Be careful with people and other brands as well. Do not use photos of celebrities, customers or patients without their consent, and do not use another company's logo or packaging in a way that suggests a connection. If you need visuals you cannot photograph, original illustrations are a safe route. We do not use stock photography on client work; we either photograph your business, use photos you supply, or draw the graphic ourselves.
