What is Watermark?
A watermark is a logo, handle or platform badge sitting on top of a video, and there are two very different kinds. Your own — a small handle in a corner — is useful, because clips get downloaded and reshared without credit, and a handle survives that journey. The platform's badge is the problem: TikTok stamps its logo and the username onto any video saved from the app, and both Instagram and YouTube deprioritise clips carrying a rival's branding. Always export the clean file from your editor and upload that everywhere, never a download taken from another app.
What does Watermark mean for a business in Pakistan?
Downloading from TikTok and reposting to Reels is standard practice on Pakistani business pages, and it is the most common self-inflicted reach problem we see. Keep the original export in a folder, and send files through Drive rather than chat, because WhatsApp compression ruins them too. If you add your own handle, place it in the upper area, since the lower third gets covered by app interface anyway.
A worked example
A page posts the same clip twice: once as a TikTok download with the visible logo and username, once as the clean 1080x1920 export straight from the editor. The clean version reaches several times more accounts on Reels. The only difference between the two files is a badge in the corner and about 30 seconds spent finding the original.
