What is Safe zone?
A safe zone is the part of the frame where your text and important subject will not be covered by the app's own interface or trimmed by a crop. Every vertical platform puts something on top of your video: a caption, a username, a follow button, a column of icons down the right side, a progress bar. Those overlays sit in different places on each app, so text that reads perfectly in your editor can end up hidden behind the description on TikTok. Working practice is to keep everything that matters inside the middle band and treat the top and bottom strips as the platform's, not yours.
What does Safe zone mean for a business in Pakistan?
This bites hardest when one export goes to four platforms at once, which is how most local pages work. A caption placed low looks fine in the CapCut preview, then disappears under the TikTok description and the Reels audio bar. Checking on an actual mid-range Android rather than only the editing laptop catches it, since the phone many of your viewers hold has a different notch and bar height anyway.
A worked example
On a 1080x1920 export, keeping all text between roughly 250 pixels from the top and 600 from the bottom leaves a usable band of about 1070 pixels, which is 56% of the height. It feels restrictive until you compare the same file on TikTok, Reels and Shorts and find every word still readable on all three.
