What is Negative feedback?
Negative feedback is every action people take to make your content go away: hiding the post, hiding everything from your page, marking it as spam, tapping 'not interested', or unfollowing after seeing it. Platforms weight these far more heavily than they weight likes, because a hide is a person spending effort to avoid you. A small rate does disproportionate damage — it pushes your quality scores down, raises what you pay to reach the same people, and can shut delivery down entirely if it keeps climbing. It is also the fastest early warning you have that something in the targeting or the tone is wrong.
What does Negative feedback mean for a business in Pakistan?
Three causes account for most of it locally. Advertising a Rawalpindi-only offer to a province-wide audience, so most viewers are being shown something irrelevant. Posting 'DM for price' every single day. And letting a political or sectarian argument run in the comments under an ad, which drives hides from everyone else watching it happen.
A worked example
A Gulberg Greens catering ad reaches 52,000 accounts in five days and collects 61 hides and 9 spam reports. Quality ranking drops to Below Average and CPM rises from PKR 120 to PKR 260. Narrowing from Punjab-wide to Islamabad and Rawalpindi only takes hides down to 6 the following week.
