Social media management for tech review channels in Islamabad & Rawalpindi

Tech content in Pakistan is a price question. Nobody here searches for a flagship review; they search whether one PKR 45,000 phone is better than another PKR 45,000 phone. Reviewers in Islamabad and Rawalpindi sit beside the Saddar and Blue Area mobile markets, which is the real advantage: you can hold the phone before you review it.

What makes social media hard for tech review channels?

These are the things we hear most from tech review channels in the twin cities. If two or three of them sound like your week, everything below is aimed straight at them.

  • 01You cannot get review units. Brands send to Karachi and Lahore first, so by the time a handset reaches you the review is three weeks late.
  • 02PTA tax and the dollar rate make every price in your video wrong within a month, and the comments fill with people quoting a different figure.
  • 03Buying the device yourself locks PKR 60,000 into a phone you then have to resell used to fund the next video.
  • 04Half the audience wants a five-minute verdict and half wants a 25-minute test, and splitting the difference satisfies neither.
  • 05Affiliate links barely convert in Pakistan, so the video that gets 200,000 views still has no way to earn from them.

What should a tech reviewer business post?

4 themes you can return to forever, so you are never staring at the camera wondering what to say. We build your month out of these.

01

Price-bracket shootouts

Group phones the way people actually budget: under PKR 30,000, under 50,000, under 100,000. Redo it whenever PTA rates or the rupee move. This is the single most searched tech format in the country.

  • Best phone under PKR 40,000 this month, four handsets side by side
  • PKR 50,000: a new mid-range, or a used flagship from Saddar?
  • Three phones I would not buy at PKR 30,000, and exactly why

02

PTA, imports and the real cost

Every imported phone has a second price nobody mentions in the shop. Registration, duty, and what a non-PTA handset actually costs to run is content only a Pakistani channel can make honestly.

  • What a non-PTA iPhone really costs once registration is paid
  • How to check the IMEI before you hand over cash to a shopkeeper
  • Bought in Dubai versus bought in Blue Area, total landed cost compared

03

Long-term and repair reality

Anyone can unbox. Almost nobody posts what a phone is like after eight months of Islamabad summer, dust and a cracked screen, or whether a brand has a service centre you can actually walk into.

  • Six months with the phone I reviewed: battery, heating, and what broke
  • Screen replacement cost in Saddar versus the official service centre
  • Which brands genuinely have a service centre in the twin cities

04

Setup and fix-it guides

Search-driven evergreen work that keeps earning after the phone is old: settings, backups, network problems and the small fixes people type into YouTube at midnight with a dying battery.

  • Fixing slow 4G on Jazz and Zong, every setting shown on screen
  • Moving everything from an old Android to a new one, step by step
  • Making a three-year-old phone usable again in ten minutes

Which platforms are worth it for tech review channels?

Ranked for this trade specifically, with how often we would post on each.

Platform priority for tech review channels
PlatformPriorityHow oftenWhy it works for this trade
YouTube#12 long reviews a month plus 6 ShortsThis is a search category — people type 'best phone under 40000 in Pakistan' straight into YouTube, and a well-titled review keeps earning for two years.
TikTok#24 clips a weekA thirty-second price verdict is what most buyers actually want, and it reaches the man standing in a mobile shop deciding right now.
Instagram#33 Reels and 2 carousels a weekSpec-comparison carousels get forwarded into WhatsApp groups, and mobile retailers and accessory brands approach you in the DMs.
Facebook#43 posts a week plus daily group repliesRawalpindi buy-and-sell and mobile groups are where people post 'kaunsa lein', and one good answer there sends a dozen of them to the channel.

What is a customer worth, and what should you spend?

The device is the cost: PKR 40,000 to 150,000 tied up per review, often resold at a loss. Income is mobile shops paying PKR 15,000 to 40,000 for a featured review, accessory brands, and AdSense, which pays better in tech than most niches because the watch time is long.

Who is already doing this well in Pakistan?

Accounts worth studying before you post anything. We are not affiliated with any of them — they are here because the approach is worth copying.

Facebook · one of Pakistan's largest tech and news pages

ProPakistani

They publish a PTA tax or price change the day it happens. Being first on a price is worth more than being thorough on a spec sheet.

YouTube · a long-running Pakistani mobile publication

PhoneWorld

They cover the mid-range handsets people actually buy instead of chasing flagships nobody in Pindi can afford. Match the catalogue to the wallet.

Instagram · a large Pakistani online phone store

PriceOye

Their content is organised by price bracket rather than by brand. Copy that structure even if you have nothing to sell.

Where are tech review channels concentrated in the twin cities?

We work across all of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, but these are the areas where this trade clusters — useful if you are working out where your customers come from.

Islamabad

  • Blue Area

Islamabad's central business district: a long strip of office towers along Jinnah Avenue, sitting between the F and G sectors. Banks, telecom head offices, law chambers, travel agents and consultancies are stacked floor on floor, with ground-floor cafés feeding the lunch rush. Almost nobody lives here, and by nine at night it is empty.

  • G-9

G-9 Markaz is Karachi Company, the market ordinary Islamabad actually shops in. Wedding-season cloth, shoes, luggage, mobile repair, cheap electronics and a hundred tailors, spread over blocks that stay busy until late. The residential side is older middle-class housing and government flats, so footfall never depends on visitors.

  • I-8

I-8 is the best-planned of the I sectors and the one with real office money in it. The Markaz holds banks, private hospitals, coaching academies and corporate branch offices, and the residential blocks are settled professional families. Sitting beside Faizabad and the Expressway, it pulls customers in from Rawalpindi too.

  • F-10

A settled upper-middle-class sector on the western side, popular with doctors, serving officers and retired families. F-10 Markaz carries clinics, dental surgeries, labs, bakeries and bank branches rather than nightlife, and the sub-sector strips fill up after school hours with tuition centres and salons. Fatima Jinnah Park is on its doorstep.

Rawalpindi

  • Saddar

Saddar is the Cantt side of Pindi's old shopping heart. Bank Road and Kashmir Road are lined with tailors, shoe shops, opticians and watch repairers who have held the same shutter for forty years. Trade runs on walk-ins from the railway station and the Cantt offices, and almost none of it is online.

  • Commercial Market

Commercial Market is Satellite Town's high street: two long rows of clothing outlets, shoe shops, cosmetics counters and food carts that fill up after Maghrib. It sells to families rather than wholesalers, so prices are fixed and the evening crowd decides everything. Parking is the standing complaint.

These are the phrases people in this trade actually type. If your page does not answer them, someone else's does.

  • best phone under 40000 in Pakistan
  • tech reviewer Islamabad
  • PTA tax kitna hai iPhone ka
  • mobile review channel kaise banaye
  • phone repair cost Saddar Rawalpindi
  • laptop under 100000 Pakistan review
  • YouTube channel SEO for tech videos Islamabad

Which services move the numbers for tech review channels?

Tech reviewers questions we get every week

How much does social media management cost for tech review channels in Islamabad?

Packages run from PKR 15,000 to PKR 70,000 a month, and most tech review channels start on Growth at PKR 35,000. Tech reviews need a long edit plus clips, and the title and thumbnail decide whether a review with a two-year search life ever gets found. Growth covers four long edits, twelve Shorts, thumbnails and full channel SEO monthly. A one-time audit of your existing page is PKR 5,000, credited if you go monthly.

Which platform should tech review channels focus on first?

YouTube. This is a search category — people type 'best phone under 40000 in Pakistan' straight into YouTube, and a well-titled review keeps earning for two years. We would run it at 2 long reviews a month plus 6 shorts and add nothing else until that is steady.

What would you actually post for a tech reviewer business?

price-bracket shootouts, pta, imports and the real cost, long-term and repair reality — those three alone fill a month. Group phones the way people actually budget: under PKR 30,000, under 50,000, under 100,000. Redo it whenever PTA rates or the rupee move. This is the single most searched tech format in the country.

Do you work with tech review channels in Rawalpindi as well as Islamabad?

Yes, we treat the twin cities as one service area. We see a lot of tech review channels around Blue Area, G-9, I-8, F-10. Most of the work runs over WhatsApp and Drive, and we come to you for the first meeting or a shoot.

How long before a tech reviewer account starts bringing in customers?

You will see the output in week one and the numbers in month one. For a local trade like this, enquiries usually start moving in the second or third month, once there is enough posted for someone to trust that you are still open and still good.
